Last June 22nd, Alvantia<\/span> participated in the event “Di\u00e1logos en Innovaci\u00f3n Argentina- Espa\u00f1a en Tecnolog\u00edas de Transformaci\u00f3n Digital, Industria 4.0, Internet of Things and Machine Learning”, a meeting organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation<\/strong><\/a> of Argentina (MINCYT) and the Center for Technological Development and Innovation<\/a><\/strong> (CDTI), which was held at the Centro Cultural de la Ciencia-C3 in Buenos Aires and attended by Alvantia<\/span> was invited as a reference company, within the technological innovation, in the field of Machine Learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The opening of the event was attended by important authorities such as Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas Alonso Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>Ambassador of Spain in Argentina; Carlos de la Cruz Molina<\/strong>Director of Evaluation and Technological Cooperation of CDTI; Mar\u00eda Cecilia Sleiman<\/strong>Undersecretary of Science, Technology and Innovation Policies of MINCYT; Karina Pombo<\/strong>National Director for the Promotion of Science Policy of MINCYT, and Fernando Peirano<\/strong>President of the R&D&I Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this day, the situation of the digital transformation technologies sector in Argentina and Spain was discussed in a panel with the participation of Mar\u00eda Cecilia Sleiman. According to Sleiman, MINCYT has established 10 challenges that will allow Argentina to advance in the full digitalization of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nAlejandro Bianchi, <\/a><\/strong>representing the Argentine Software Industry Chamber – CESSI<\/a>,<\/strong> said that CESSI expects to create 400,000 IT jobs by 2030. “The Internet has changed our lives. We don’t have to decide where we want to work, but with whom we want to work. The Internet has eliminated barriers to achieve this,” commented Bianchi, who also recalled that CESSI is working on a digital maturity index that will allow us to identify the situation of Argentine companies.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nJos\u00e9 Antonio Garrote, <\/strong><\/a>Business Manager of Alvantia<\/span><\/span>, had the opportunity to present the company’s technological capabilities in the aforementioned areas, with special emphasis on Machine Learning <\/strong>applied to trade finance<\/strong>. In this regard, he commented on the advantages that machine learning based on experience can bring to the Factoring and Confirming<\/strong> sector, highlighting the following: reconciliation of collections, maximizing sales, avoiding fraud and early detection of risks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alvantia<\/span> is certified as an innovative company<\/strong> and has a certified investment in R+D+i of more than 225,000 hours<\/strong> in the last 3 years, being a reference in the development of technological platforms for financing services for companies. In this sense, it specializes in Factoring and Confirming products, a fundamental industry in our country: almost one out of every five euros of the Spanish GDP is assigned and managed through Factoring and Confirming operations. In addition, according to the Bank of Spain, Factoring and Confirming account for 92% of working capital financing.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the Alvantia<\/span> team it is always a pleasure to travel to Latin America, where we started an internationalization process 7 years ago and where we have references in several countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are very grateful for this invitation from the CDTI, an entity that does an excellent job in promoting innovation and technological development of Spanish companies and that in 2021 <\/strong>committed a total of 1,022.31 million euros to <\/strong>directly support <\/strong> 1,495 R&D&I projects.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
