According to data from the Spanish Factoring Association, <\/strong><\/a>the sector continues to consolidate its growth in our country, exceeding a turnover of 270,000 million euros<\/strong> in 2023<\/strong>. This means that the equivalent of more than 18% of <\/strong>Spanish GDP <\/strong>is transferred and managed through these operations.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Spain is the fifth European country <\/strong>with the highest turnover in the sector, something that is even more relevant if we take into account that Europe accounts for 62% of the world’s factoring<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Below we can see the evolution of the industry in our country during the last 6 years:<\/span><\/p>\n

Factoring<\/strong> grew by almost 5% in 2023, exceeding \u20ac133 <\/strong><\/span> .75<\/strong> billion, <\/strong><\/span> with non-recourse<\/strong> factoring being much more predominant, growing by almost 6% in the last year<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Confirming<\/strong> increased by 7.4% in 2023<\/strong>, exceeding \u20ac136.5 billion<\/strong> in activity and representing 50.5% of the total<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

As for the sectors<\/strong> of activity, we can highlight the manufacturing industry and commerce<\/strong>, which account for 50%<\/strong> of total activity (as was the case in previous years). With regard to the distribution of assignments by autonomous region, five regions account for 79% of total activity: Madrid, Catalonia, Valencia, the Basque Country and Andalusia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inblock Project<\/h3>\n

The AEF, with the collaboration of the Tax Agency, plans to launch its Inblock<\/strong> platform by the end of this 2024, which will use Blockchain<\/strong> technology to simplify processes and reduce the documentary burden currently required of SMEs. Thanks to this project, a greater number of companies will be able to take advantage of Factoring and Confirming services in a more optimal way. This platform will be open to all companies that wish to use it, whether or not they are members of the organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

New web page<\/h3>\n

In addition, the association, which includes almost all of the specialized institutions, has just launched a new website <\/strong><\/a>and the intranet has been developed by alvantia<\/span> to facilitate the procedures carried out by its members. <\/span><\/p>\n
