{"id":8333,"date":"2025-05-13T12:29:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T11:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/alvantia-sponsors-the-43rd-aef-assembly\/"},"modified":"2025-05-23T09:51:10","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T08:51:10","slug":"alvantia-sponsors-the-43rd-aef-assembly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/en\/alvantia-sponsors-the-43rd-aef-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"Alvantia sponsors the AEF Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">For yet another year, <span style=\"font-family: alvantia; font-size: 14pt;\">Alvantia<\/span> has sponsored the Assembly of the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/factoringasociacion.com\/\">Spanish Factoring Association <\/a><\/strong>which on this occasion was held at the Parador de M\u00e1laga Golf on May 8 and 9. <!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">As usual, the president of the AEF, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/carlos-dalmau-87553229\/?originalSubdomain=es\">Carlos Dalmau<\/a>, <\/strong>inaugurated the event, accompanied this time by the mayor of Malaga, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/pacodelatorrep\/\">Francisco de la Torre.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first presentation was given by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/juanluisencinas\/\">Jos\u00e9 Luis Encinas<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/linkedin.com\/in\/cloboroldan\">Cristina Lobo Rold\u00e1n<\/a><\/strong>CEO and director of regulation at Iberpay, respectively, and was moderated by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ignacio-sagarminaga-gonzalez-61159a84\/\">Ignacio Sagarminaga.<\/a><\/strong> Encinas gave an overview of the <strong>European retail payments strategy<\/strong>, which aims, among other challenges, to: guarantee Europe&#8217;s sovereignty and strategic autonomy in payments; generalize instant payments in Europe; develop pan-European solutions based on instant payments (alternatives to cards); improve international payments outside the Euro and promote financial digitalization, innovation, resilience and speed of payments. <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Lobo spoke about the benefits of instant transfers and Request to Pay (instant \u201cdebit\u201d).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8311\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"693\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF-300x135.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF-1024x462.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF-768x347.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF-750x338.jpeg 750w, https:\/\/www.alvantia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AEF-1200x541.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1536px) 100vw, 1536px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">During the second day of the assembly, the current situation of<strong> Inblock, <\/strong>one of the AEF&#8217;s key projects, was analyzed. Enrique Fern\u00e1ndez Albarrac\u00edn, partner at EY Abogados and V\u00edctor V\u00e1zquez Rey, Senior Manager at EY Technology, explained the benefits that this system will bring to Factoring entities in a presentation moderated by Carlos Garc\u00eda Casas, Secretary General of the AEF. The experts agreed that Inblock: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It will be an <strong>accelerator<\/strong> <strong>in<\/strong> <strong>critical risk management<\/strong> <strong>processes<\/strong> in the trade finance business.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>It will elevate <\/strong>the<strong> position<\/strong> of the <strong>entities in their business strategy<\/strong> through the adoption of technology in key processes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It will become a <strong>lever for<\/strong> user <strong>entities<\/strong> with \u201c<strong>winner<\/strong>\u201d ambitions vs. entities that choose to wait and see (\u201cfollower\u201d strategy). <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The event ended with the presentation \u201cGeopolitics and Uncertainty, the times we are living in\u201d by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/decadenassantiago\/?originalSubdomain=es\">Gonzalo de Cadenas-Santiago<\/a><\/strong>Deputy General Manager of MAPFRE Economics, who analyzed the economic and sectorial outlook 2025-2026, highlighting that \u201cwe are entering a period of uncertainty and instability with a foreseeable global economic cost\u201d and reaching the following conclusions about the present and future of the economy:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">-This is shaping up to be a biennium of<strong> high uncertainty and high volatility<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">-The central scenario is one of <strong>global stagflation<\/strong> with varying degrees of severity depending on the intensity of the trade war.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">-The balance of risks was already skewed to the downside, and <strong>geopolitics<\/strong> (especially since Trump) <strong>amplifies<\/strong> and intertwines those <strong>risks<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">-There are multiple possible trajectories that could lead to a <strong>global inflationary recession<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>-For now<\/strong>, <strong>only<\/strong> the <strong>uncertainty<\/strong> and expectations channel has been activated, <strong>without<\/strong> the <strong>real effects<\/strong> of the tariffs having fully materialized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">-The recent <strong>correction<\/strong> of <strong>financial markets<\/strong> <strong>doubles<\/strong> the implied <strong>probability<\/strong> of <strong>global
