Just over a year ago in April 2020, Spain was in the throes of the first wave of the pandemic and plunged into a state of economic semi-paralysis. The vast majority of companies were closed, people were working remotely and the figures for unemployment, furloughs and temporary redundancy plans were growing each day. It seemed as if, to add insult to injury, an economic virus was following in the footsteps of the coronavirus.
Previously, it was enough for Front End developers to know basic HTML, CSS and any JavaScript library in order to create interactive websites. Currently, these developers face an excess of standards and trends that often go through changes before they can be implemented.
Leadership, a word that is difficult to define in a single definition, always subject to the need to transform itself to adapt to new contexts and, in this last year, with the pandemic we have experienced, this adaptation and transformation has become even more important and, above all, to the rapid need for the leader to respond to transform himself and his team to a new and different way of working that has never been experienced before.
In these times we live in, in which we spend more and more time at home, solutions that generally cost little money and allow us to improve our quality of life and, in some cases, save on the energy consumption of our home, are of increasing interest.
Alvantia has been a member of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact for more than seven years. Its corporate culture promotes attitudes and commitments that help to build a fairer, more sustainable and balanced world.
On January 26th and 27th, the “Supply Chain Finance Summit” was held once again, BCR’s annual event where the latest trends in the sector are shown and where the leaders of the trade finance industry share their ideas.
